Express readers have say on if Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should give Epstein evidence | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been urged to travel to the US to give evidence on the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein just days after he appeared in yet more files. The US Department of Justice released a number of new documents and images on Friday as part of the Epstein files, with some of these mentioning Andrew.

1,996 fans voted in a poll conducted by the Daily Express, which ran between 12pm on February 2 until 3.20pm on February 3, with an overwhelming 1,601 people [80%] sharing that Andrew should be prepared to give evidence.

An additional 340 people [17%] shared that he shouldn’t give evidence, with another 55 people [3%] voting ‘maybe’.

Much like royal fans, Gloria Allred, a US lawyer who represented 27 of Epstein’s victims, recently said: “The Metropolitan Police should reopen their investigation of Andrew.

“In addition, Andrew should volunteer to speak to Congress, even though he has denied that he has committed any crime. He should do this to help the survivors learn what he observed and what was going on at the crime scene.”

Her comment echoed that of UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who recently shared that he thinks Andrew “should be prepared” to testify before the US Congress.

Following the latest release of the Epstein files last week, a second woman – who was in her 20s at the time – has come forward alleging that she was sent to the UK by Epstein.

According to the BBC, the woman’s lawyer, Brad Edwards from the US firm Edwards Henderson, claimed that the encounter took place at Royal Lodge in Windsor.
