The Food and Drug Administration has withdrawn a proposed rule banning minors from tanning beds. The federal rule, first brought forward more than a decade ago, would have prevented minors from using indoor sunlamps or tanning beds, and had adults sign a waiver acknowledging the health risks. NBC News’ Valerie Castro reports on the FDA’s decision and the critics sounding the alarm over the dangerous health risks associated with tanning.
