Garden fans ‘blown away’ by egg chair that gets ‘lots of compliments’

We’ve made it through the cold season and finally seeing brighter days and months ahead. Now that the weather seems to be brightening up, it’s easy to imagine evenings in the back garden, relaxing with a book or a cocktail to unwind from a busy day at work.

Comfort is key and nobody wants to relax while sitting on a hard chair or a bench when they could have a soft and cosy option, without breaking the bank too. One deal that’s worth taking a look at comes from Debenhams where the Furniturebox Egg Outdoor Garden Hanging Chair is down to £266.24 from £434.99.

The egg chair is described as the perfect swing chair for creating an oasis in a garden, conservatory or deck patio, so it’s a really versatile piece of furniture. The frame of the chair is woven with a textured PE rattan weave, which is then filled with soft cushions for that added comfort.

The seat is held up by steel chains which hang from a metal arm to keep it sturdy. The frame is also UV and weather resistant as everyone knows the UK weather isn’t completely dependable, but the chair shouldn’t get damaged if it does decide to pour down.

Although the cushions are splash proof – meaning if any spillages occur, after giving it a pat down the drops should roll off – the company has advised they should not be left outside or in damp conditions.

The 30.6kg chair is 120 cm in length and 72 cm in height making it the perfect addition to any space without taking up the whole area. If grey doesn’t fit the aesthetic of the space, the light brown option is worth a look too.

For another  addition to the garden for this Spring, the Outsunny Hanging Egg Chair in Khaki from The Range is £159.99 and comes with a cushion and head pillow with removable covers, and also has a powder-coated steel frame and an X-shaped base.

For a simpler addition that could go wtih any garden table, the Malay Deluxe Outdoor Essentials Padstow Wicker from Wilko for £89.99 is also a solid choice. The grey chair is made from durable rattan style material, comes with waterproof covers and is easily stackable to ensure it doesn’t take up a huge space.

The Furniturebox Egg Outdoor Garden Hanging Chair from Debenhams has received praise from one customer who left a review as part of a promotion as they said: “Blown away by how good the egg chair looks in our garden. Only been up for a weekend and already had lots of compliments. Can’t wait for summer evenings ahead!”

Although there were no other reviews on the Debenhams site, the website has got an overall 2.6 out of 5 star rating on Trustpilot from a total of 18,988 reviews as one customer said: “I bought an item from a seller on their marketplace, everything went smoothly.”

Another said: “Bought an expensive clothing item-close to €100, it wasn’t suitable so returned. I contacted them on WhatsApp to query about the refund. Once I proved the item was sent back, by showing my post office receipt, the refund was processed for me on the spot.”

However, some weren’t as pleased, with one person noting: “Returns process is unacceptably slow. Communication about the refund is delayed and seems to take longer than the 21 days they quote. Due to two delayed refunds I no longer feel comfortable to order from Debenhams.”

Another said: “The return process is so complicated.”
