Gary Neville is reportedly earning in excess of £1million each month through his podcasting endeavours, on top of his Sky Sports salary. The Manchester United icon’s Buzz 16 Productions – which oversees projects such as The Overlap – produced turnover of £11.6m last year. Buzz also paid out a reported £4.6m in salaries and pension contributions last year, according to The Sun.
Neville, meanwhile, reportedly shared a dividend surpassing £3m with three other directors. Aside from taking part in programmes like Stick To Football and Fan Debate, alongside long-time broadcasting partner Jamie Carragher, Neville also appears in a short Sky Sports podcast when covering Premier League matches.
In January, he sold a majority stake in The Overlap to Global, which owns Classic FM, Capital and LBC, amongst others.
Discussing the deal at the time, Neville said: “The Overlap started as an idea that we thought people might like and we went for it.
“It’s a team that I love working with and I’m incredibly proud to be a part of. We never thought of it as a business, we just wanted to create something that people loved.”
Neville is frequently joined by the likes of Carragher, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Jill Scott on The Overlap, welcoming a variety of high-profile guests throughout the years.
Some of the latest figures to appear on the programme include Wayne Rooney, Ange Postecoglou, Ashley Cole, Rory McIlroy and Gareth Bale.
This follows Neville, Keane and Carragher reaching a consensus over Manchester City‘s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Liverpool, which is due to take place on Saturday.

The Reds suffered a devastating 3-0 thrashing at the hands of the Sky Blues earlier this season and head into the fixture as second favourites to progress into the last four.
Keane was quick to spark the debate surrounding who will come out on top. He said: “Liverpool are so bad.
“You know, one of the worst performances I’ve seen this season was Liverpool at Nottingham Forest – I know I’m going back six or eight weeks. I said they were bad champions.”
While Keane forecast a 2-1 win for City, Neville and Carragher went even further by predicting the match will end 3-1 to City.
Manchester City head into the contest in superb form, having already handed Arsenal a 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final last month courtesy of a Nico O’Reilly brace.
Still very much in the hunt for the Premier League title, Guardiola will have his eyes firmly fixed on a domestic treble of EPL, Carabao Cup and FA Cup glory ahead of this weekend’s showdown.
