Gerwyn Price called out by Jake Paul after threatening to knock him out | Other | Sport

Jake Paul has declared that he would dominate darts in the latest instalment of his ongoing feud with Gerwyn Price. Paul, 29, featured on Sky Sports on Thursday evening to promote the upcoming boxing bout between Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper. And following discussion about the fight, he was questioned whether he’d ever face Price in a game of darts.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer replied, with a touch of tongue and cheek: “Yeah, I wouldn’t want to embarrass him, but I’m thinking of coming in and just taking over the game… I’m a hunter and I have perfect aim.”

One fan joked on X (formerly Twitter): “Now that Littler meltdown isn’t even the most embarrassing thing to happen tonight after that Jake Paul segment.”

“Did Jake Paul just say he wants to join darts,” a second questioned, while a third said: “Why is Jake Paul even getting interviewed for the darts?”

Another added: “Jake Paul has just called Gerwyn Price for a game of darts. It’s all happening tonight!”

Price and Paul are surprisingly well-acquainted, having fired several barbs at each other in the past.

When questioned about the possibility of entering the ring with the former Disney actor, the Welshman said: “That’s easy, I look forward to that.

“He’s a YouTuber, he’s not a fighter, is he? I think it would just be one punch, and it would be all over. Out cold.

“It would be a waste of money for people to tune in. He’ll never beat me in Wales. Nobody beats me in Wales. He’d probably beat Canelo but he’s not beating me, no.”

In a subsequent interview, Price added: “He’s seen it and messaged me. He wrote back to me and said, ‘Come to Greece, man. Just name a price.’ I don’t know why he’s in Greece.”

When pressed on whether he had replied to Paul’s invitation, Price quipped: “I was a bit scared. No, I need to get some training in.”

Price won night nine of the Premier League on Thursday, beating Gian van Veen in the final to maintain his impressive form at the oche.
