High street store owned by Zara with Primark prices to open in UK — full list

A popular fashion brand is coming to the UK, with stores set to open in summer 2026. Lefties, a clothing retailer with prices that could rival Primark, has confirmed it will be opening its first-ever locations in Britain.

Owned by retail giant Inditex — the parent company behind fashion giants including Zara, Pull&Bear and Bershka — Lefties is a Spanish brand known for its affordable and trendy fashion. The move will see the company open its first physical stores in the UK after success in other Euorpean countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy and France.

Lefties has confirmed that its first two UK stores will open at:

  • Lakeside shopping centre in Essex
  • Liverpool ONE shopping centre

More details on opening dates and potential future expansion are expected later this year.

Lefties already operates hundreds of stores across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and has built a strong online presence in recent years. The brand offers women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as footwear, accessories, sportswear and homeware.

Originally launched in 1999 as an outlet for leftover Zara stock, Lefties has since evolved into a standalone budget brand, often compared to Primark and H&M.

It comes as the UK high street continues to face significant challenges, with several well-known brands falling into administration and disappearing for good.

Fashion has been particularly hard hit, with brands such as Quiz, Claire’s Accessories and Select Fashion entering administration, leading to dozens of store closures and job losses. Meanwhile, River Island and New Look have confirmed a string of store shutdowns.

Poundland has also closed multiple branches as it looks to cut costs and streamline its portfolio, while The Original Factory Shop entered administration, putting dozens of locations at risk.
