Home gardeners snap up planter ‘great for herbs’ in Amazon sale

Green fingered folk are praising a wooden plant stand they’ve found on Amazon, exclaiming, ‘where has this been all my gardening life!’. The three-tiered plant stand allows you to organise your pots and plants with a staggered position, so they all can get sufficient light and thrive.

Crafted from fir wood, it also ‘looks great’ in the garden thanks to the rustic effect, plus the ladder design is a stylish and chic touch. Ahead of Amazon Prime Day, the Outsunny Wooden Garden Planter has been reduced for a limited time to £34.99 instead of £66.99, making it almost half price.

Each tier tapers slightly in width to the top of the unit and offers plenty of vertical room for blooms and leaves. Shoppers are pleasantly surprised that the plant stand comes fully assembled calling it an ‘added bonus’ as it can be put straight up once delivered.

If you’re struggling with pesky slugs eating your precious plants, people are hailing the £35 buy for protecting them. One person said: “It takes up so little room in my small garden and because they’re all off the ground the slugs can’t get at them.”

The clever folding design means it can easily be moved around the garden and if it’s not in use in the winter months, it can be stored away using little space. Measuring 80 x 37 x 93 centimetres, you can also pick up a smaller model that is 40 x 37 x 93 centimetres for £23.99.

With an average rating of four out of five stars from more than 600 shoppers, it is a big hit with those wanting to accomodate more plants in the garden and on a balcony or patio.

One person wrote: “What a lovely, clever piece of kit. The shelves don’t need assembling. Arrived neatly packed in a box and you just pull down the trays and click them into place. Very attractive to look at also and fits perfectly on my balcony. Thinking of purchasing another one.”

Another added: “The planter is light in weight but strong enough for heavy plant pots. The fold away feature allows it to be stored away in winter and will save space.”

Someone else commented: “What a lovely addition to my garden. One side of my garden is a large raised bed full of colour, but the other side is boring with a large outbuilding. This brightens up that side as I have put 3 ft tall plants on top shelf and a few pots with loads of colour on lower ones. More sturdy than I thought for the money. No assembly required. And the scorched effect is very modern. Would highly recommend.”

Some shoppers have said that the ‘product is slightly wobbly’, however as it doesn’t need to be moved around that often it isn’t too much of a problem. They have also found that ‘when you water the top tier, the surplus runs through to the lower tiers’, describing it as a ‘brilliant’ additional feature.

For a garden stand that comes in blue or grey, consider the Dunelm Florenity Folding Plant Pot Shelf for £79. One shopper wrote that they are pleased with it as they are ‘using to keep mini tomatoes plants out of the reach’ of their plant loving pet. Alternatively, the Acacia Folding Plant Stand from Crocus is £134.99 and made to withstand the elements – ideal for unpredictable weather.
