Lewis Hamilton left a one-word comment after a Formula 1 fan shared their mum’s hilarious mistake on social media. The F1 fan, who posts under the handle @norajooo on TikTok, posted on the app on Wednesday, October 29, after receiving a number of texts from her mum.
The pair had been to a Tumi luggage company store in the US to meet Oscar Piastri ahead of last year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, which saw George Russell and Lewis Hamilton make it onto the podium. Nora’s mum message her to ask who it was they met at the store in 2024.
The text read “who did we meet at Temu?”, to which Nora replied saying “What”. The mother sent three texts back, which read “In Las Vegas. Lewis Hamilton? Your driver?”
Nora then shared a picture with the caption “Anyways, this was me with Louis Hamilton at Temu”. But the photograph she actually shared showed her standing next to Oscar Piastri in the Tumi store.
The post was seen by thousands of people worldwide, including seven-time Formula One World Championship winner Hamilton who commented under the post.
The Brit commented “real” under the video, which nora claims made her feel “unwell”. She said: “I spent 30 minutes screaming. But I’m nonchalant. I’m super nonchalant.
“I feel like I went to the Vatican and accidently got blessed by the pope himself.
“Out of every post I have made about Sir Lewis Hamilton, he ended up commenting on the one where my mum called him Lewis Hamilton from Temu.
“Anyway, shout out to you. And i’m going to gently hold your forehead when I say this, but don’t ever retire. Thank you.” Hundereds of people commented under the post expressing their excitement over Hamilton commenting on the video.
One user said: “Girl I’m dead. Not THE Lewis Hamilton commenting.” Another added: “EVERYTHING about this is so funny. Temu??? Lewis commenting?? Your driver????? Hilarious.” A third wrote: “Your driver? Like he’s your damn uber ride.”
