A major UK theme park has given a first glimpse of its new Paw Patrol attraction. The new £15million immersive experience is set to open this spring and will feature four thrilling rides.
Chessington World of Adventures, in Surrey, will feature the UK’s first Paw Patrol-themed land. World of Paw Patrol will include rides Chase’s Mountain Mission, Skye’s Helicopter Heroes, Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue and Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure. As well as releasing pictures of the attraction, the theme park is also on the look out for a fan to become “PAWject Manager” of the new attraction.
The new pictures show Paw Patrol character, Rubble, overseeing the site’s construction alongside Creative Director at Merlin Magic Making, Sian Hooper. The themed area will span across 1.4 acres and feature four thrilling rides.
Chase’s Mountain Missue, an entry level rollercoaster, will offer visitors the chance to ride a high-speed rescue vehicle to help Chase and Everest. Meanwhile, Skye’s Helicopter Heroes will see vistors ride a helicopter before taking to the skies and offering amazing panoramic views.
Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure will become the UK’s first “Drifter” ride, with visitors riding on a hovercraft. Finally, Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue is perfect for younger visitors who can climb aboard the bright red fire truck before it rolls through the streets of Adventure Bay.
Sian Hooper said: “Bringing World of PAW Patrol to life is a true labour of love. From the very first sketches to seeing the iconic Lookout Tower rise above Chessington, our goal has been to capture the magic, energy and teamwork that millions of families know and adore from the show.
“Every ride has been designed to make guests feel like they’re stepping into Adventure Bay — whether they’re skidding and sliding with Zuma or soaring sky-high with Skye. We can’t wait for families to join the patrol this spring and create their own pup-tacular memories.”
Organisers are also looking for a “PAWject Manager” ahead of the official opening this spring. The role will give one fan the chance to give the area their “final approval” before it opens to the public.
The PAWject Manager will also be the first to test out the rides and will have the chance to meet their heroes. The winner will get tickets for their family to attend the opening event, a night in one of the five PAW Patrol-themed hotel rooms at Chessington, and other additional PAW Patrol goodies.
