Meghan Markle fans are ‘begging’ for more podcast material from The Duchess of Sussex after the audio company affiliated with Meghan has teased new content.
In February 2024, Meghan signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media who now distribute the first season of ‘Archetypes’ on audio platforms.
On social media, Lemonada Media posted a collage of podcast photos, including Meghan’s first podcast series, perhaps indicating that fans can expect more content soon.
They captioned the post: “With new episodes of Fail Better, Boneheads, Pop Culture Debate Club AND MORE coming out this week, which podcast are you excited to listen to this week?”
Fans of Meghan have rushed to seek more information, questioning if more content from Meghan will be released. One wrote: “Are we getting Archetypes??”
Other fans are hopeful for a new series. One fan wrote: “I enjoyed Archetypes. I wish there was a season two.”
One social media user questioned “More from Meghan?” whereas another said “Omg! Are you saying Meghan’s podcast is coming out this week?”.
The comment section on Lemonada Media’s official Instagram page has been flooded with questions posed by Meghan’s fans.
Archetypes podcast ran for just one series before Prince Harry and Meghan’s lucrative deal with Spotify ended in 2023.
After the deal ended, Spotify and the Sussexes’s audio production company, Archewell Audio, released a joint statement saying they have “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”
But following Meghan’s signing with Lemonada last year, she released a statement in February 2024: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.”
Continuing her statement after signing with the new audio company, Meghan added: “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024.
“Our plan to re-release ‘Archetypes’ so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works.
“I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.”
However, a top executive at Spotify branded both Prince Harry and Meghan “f****** grifters” about their business acumen after they only produced 13 episodes for the streaming giant.
Archetypes was billed as a “podcast where we investigate, dissect, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back” and included content from celebrity guests.
