Meghan Markle makes another major announcement as she teases podcast | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has released the trailer for her new podcast, just hours after launching an online shop via her Instagram account. The Duchess of Sussex shared a teaser for the show, called Confessions of a Female Founder, which premieres on April 8.

In the two-minute preview, she says: “I’m Meghan, and this is Confessions of a Female Founder, a show where I chat with female entrepreneurs and friends about the sleepless nights, the lessons learned, and the laser focus that got them to where they are today. We’re diving into the highs — and the lows – and the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses. And of course, we’re going to get some girl talk!”

The trailer also includes clips from the show showing Meghan quizzing one guest about their relationship status, asking: “Are you saying you’re not single now? Have I missed something in the past couple weeks? What’s happening?!”

She adds in her voiceover: “And through it all, I’m building a business of my own and getting all sorts of practical advice along the way that I’m very excited to share with you. So join me for Confessions Of A Female Founder from Lemonada Media which, by the way, is also female founded, launching April 8, wherever you get your podcasts. Let’s do this, ladies.”

At the end of the one-minute 57-second trailer, Meghan tells a guest: “This is not Shark Tank. Think of this as dolphin tank. Yes, these are very friendly. These are very friendly waters. It’s all gonna be good.”

Shark Tank is the American equivalent of the hit BBC UK show, Dragon’s Den, where entrepreneurs pitch business ideas.

The trailer was released just hours after the Duchess of Sussex released an Instagram shop – which is a collection of clothing and accessories with some items featuring links through which commission can be earned. Meghan also shared a brand-new picture of herself and her children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, to her As Ever Instagram account.

Taking to her Instagram account earlier this month, Meghan wrote: “I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: “Confessions of a Female Founder,” my new podcast with @lemonadamedia!…”

Earlier this month, Lemonada Media also shared their own excitement over the pending release of Meghan’s podcast. They wrote that the podcast “invites you to be a fly on the wall as Meghan sits down for candid conversations with female founders and friends about the success, the struggles, and the never-before-told stories of building a business.”

Confessions of a Female Founder will be Meghan’s second attempt at a podcast. Meghan – who now resides in California with Prince Harry and their two children – released Archetypes back in 2022.
