A newly launched true crime documentary is leaving Netflix subscribers ‘crying like a baby’ after it has dominated the rankings within mere days of release.
The feature-length film The Truth and Tragedy of Moriah Wilson arrived on the streaming service on Friday (April 4) but has swiftly become the most-watched title available.
At present, it occupies the number one position as the most-viewed film amongst British users, instantly overtaking titles such as Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man and Care.
According to the synopsis supplied by Netflix, the documentary presents an intimate, compelling portrait of cyclist Moriah Wilson.
Moriah was nurtured by a devoted, passionate family whose unwavering determination became her greatest strength, propelling her towards sporting excellence and, tragically, towards a life ended by murder.

The hunt for her killer generated nationwide attention in May 2022, as did the subsequent trial. This documentary ventures beyond the news coverage to examine the consequences of this tragic crime on those who knew and cherished Mo, while also scrutinising the investigation that unfolded.
It features extensive conversations with her close family members, dear friends, alongside colleagues and admirers of her athletic career. What unfolds is a moving, profoundly human account about bereavement, affection, and the manner in which sorrow can transform existence, while also highlighting instances of strength and change even during the bleakest periods.
It is helmed by renowned documentarian Marina Zenovich. The filmmaker has previously produced documentaries about comedians Richard Pryor and Robin Williams as well as directing 2020’s Lance, about Lance Armstrong. She also created I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not which was released earlier this year and explored the career of the sometimes controversial comic actor, reports the Mirror.
