Popular Japanese clothing store to open new locations

Clothing brand Uniqlo has announced the opening date of its first store in the South West as part of a major revamp and expansion plan. The shop will open at Bristol’s Cabot Circus next month, offering all of the brand’s classic essentials and fan favourite items from its spring-summer collection.

Uniqlo will open its doors to the public on Thursday, April 16, reports The Retail Bulletin. Uniqlo is also set to open its first store in Leeds, with an opening date yet to be announced. For London-based customers, the brand has also revamped its Covent Garden location with a new and improved store.

Uniqlo Covent Garden will open to customers at 10am on Thursday, March 26. According to The Retail Bulletin, the new Bristol store will feature a UTme! Station where customers can create their own unique designs to be printed onto t-shirts and tote bags.

There’ll also be exclusive designs available only in Bristol. Customs will also be able to recycle, repair or remake existing Uniqlo items at its Re.Uniqlo service.

Alessandro Dudech, chief operating officer at Uniqlo UK, said: “We are delighted to be opening our first South West store here in Bristol, a city renowned for its creativity and strong sense of community.

“Bringing Uniqlo’s LifeWear to Bristol in a bricks and mortar setting is a meaningly step for us. We look forward to offering thoughtfully designed, high-quality clothing that reflects the needs of this dynamic city.”

Previous recent openings of Uniqlo branches include Uniqlo Bullring, Birmingham; Uniqlo Glasgow on Argyle Street; and Uniqlo Liverpool in Liverpool ONE on Paradise Street.
