A sexual predator who assaulted two women on commuter trains has been jailed. Esosa Eguakin, 31, of Courtelle Road, Coventry, was on board a train from Fratton to London Waterloo at about 7.15am on August 21 when he launched his first attack, sitting behind a woman and sexually assaulting her.
He went on to sexually assault a second woman on a service from Eastleigh to London Waterloo just after 6am on October 6, according to British Transport Police. Pervert Eguakin claimed he had dropped his mobile phone and was trying to retrieve it when the woman confronted him.
He refused to move away from her, but an off-duty police officer stepped in and took him off the train at Woking.
The officer arrested Eguakin and held him at the station until officers arrived to take him into custody.
Eguakin was charged with two counts of sexual assault. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison on February 10 at Guildford Crown Court.
He also received a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which bans him from sitting or standing next to or opposite any lone women.
Det Cons David Stewart said: “Eguakin’s behaviour was predatory and deeply distressing for both victims. No one should feel unsafe or be subjected to such violations as they travel.

Mr Stewart added: “I want to thank the women involved for their courage in supporting our investigation, as well as the off‑duty officer whose swift actions prevented further harm.
“This sentence, along with the SHPO, sends a clear message that we will pursue offenders and ensure they are held to account.”
