Princess Beatrice set for huge snub as it’s ‘hard to imagine’ King invite to huge event | Royal | News

Her father was stripped of his titles and honours last year by the King, and his humiliating fall from grace reached its peak last month, when he was arrested on his birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew was held in custody for 11 hours before being released under investigation. He has always denied any wrongdoing.

Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, were said not to be affected by their father’s scandal.

Last Christmas, King Charles was praised for his kind nature after both sisters joined the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham.

However, this year, according to a royal commentator, things will be different for the York sisters, who will likely spend the special day away from Norfolk.

The Daily Mail’s diary editor, Richard Eden, claimed that “it’s very hard to imagine” Beatrice and Eugenie getting a Christmas invite for Sandrnigham this year.

He said on the Palace Confidential podcast: “Personally, I find it hard to imagine them at Sandringham, and certainly not on that traditional walk to church where they’re greeting the public, because that is, you know, the time when they’re saying, this is the Royal Family, you know, we’re on display.

“And it’s just very hard to imagine. I mean, remember that they were invited last year. That was the king trying to embrace them and show that he was giving them support.”

Mr Eden added that the most likely scenario for this year would be for Beatrice and Eugenie to announce that they’ll be spending Christmas with their husband’s families instead to avoid conflict.

The two princesses have not publicly commented on their father’s scandal.
