Princess Eugenie has opened up about the “most special, mind-blowing experience” of becoming a parent to her children August and Ernest.
During an interview for The Anti-Slavery Collective, which Eugenie, 34, co-founded with Julia de Boinville in 2017, the princess described how her children make her “world go around”.
“Becoming a parent is the most special, mind-blowing experience of a person’s life. My children make my world go around,” said the princess. “I want to educate my children and all young people about being vulnerable, sensitive, and empathetic towards each other.”
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter is married to Jack Brooksbank and they have two sons August, three, and Ernest, one.
Although Eugenie is a very hands-on mum, the princess is also keen to shine a light on the causes she holds most dear.
Eugenie joined her sister Princess Beatrice, 36, earlier this month to attend a garden party in London for a cause close to their hearts.
The York sisters made a joint appearance at the Haven House Hospice garden party, where they praised the “incredible” dedication of the charity’s workers.
However, sources close to the York family told Express.co.uk that this wasn’t a one-off appearance for the princesses who are set to take on more public engagements over the coming months and years.
“Beatrice and Eugenie are extremely popular with the public so it makes sense for the Royal Family to utilise that popularity,” said the source. “There were many discussions over the summer [Balmoral summit] about using Beatrice and Eugenie more at public facing events.
“The sisters will not be elevated to working royal status but they will step up in an unofficial capacity to support the family when needed and become more involved with causes close to their hearts.
“The Firm has given them the nod to be more in the foreground after stepping back following their father’s link to the Epstein scandal.”
Princess Eugenie has become increasingly active on her social media accounts in recent months showcasing all the worthy causes and public events she has attended.
Princess Beatrice has also stepped up at a number of events recently to help support the Royal Family and shine a light on initiatives she is involved with.
