The game will be watched by many, with William and Catherine likely to be tuning in at their Forest Lodge home. While many couples tend to support the same team, this is not the case within the Wales household, which tends to lead to some competitiveness between The Prince and Princess of Wales.
This is because Princess Catherine is Patron of the Rugby Football Union, while Prince William is the Welsh Rugby Union’s patron.
This means that Catherine, 44, will be cheering on the England team, while William will be hoping the Welsh team secure a victory.
In a joint statement today, William and Catherine wrote: “Wishing the best of luck to Wales and England Rugby as they go head-to-head at Twickenham today in the Men’s Six Nations Championship.
“As patrons of both unions respectively… May the best team win! W&C.”
It is not known whether the competitiveness today will rest just between William and Catherine, or whether their children will also get involved and choose a team to support.
Just weeks ago, Catherine told the Red Roses’ Rugby Team: “Charlotte is playing rugby, but at home with the family, so she isn’t yet at school, and I was asking how many schools are actually incorporating [rugby].
“Rugby is so accessible. Louis is playing touch rugby, and it’s such a great game.”
The game is scheduled to kick-off today at 4:40pm.
