Armed police officers are responding to an incident in a UK market town. A cordon was set up in Radcliffe on Monday, March 30, by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) following “reports of a disturbance”. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers are responding to an incident on Stand Lane, Radcliffe following reports of a disturbance at around 2:15pm. Road closures are currently in place at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.”

A large police presence was reported in the area, affected by road closure. Bury Council has shared information about the closure on X, and is urging people to “avoid the area if possible”.
