Royal fans have reacted to the Princess of Wales‘s “smart” decision to not release a new family picture after last year’s editing concerns. Like many mothers across the nation, Princess Kate was celebrating Mother’s Day in the UK with her three children – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and six-year-old Prince Louis – on March 30.
Princess Kate, 43, faced scrutiny over her Mother’s Day message last year. The post included a picture of her and her children – and, after questions were raised that the image may have been manipulated, five agencies retracted the image over editing concerns that day. She later issued an apology and admitted to editing the picture.
This year, many experts and fans alike were left wondering whether the royal would choose to release a new picture – with many taking to social media after she made the decision to post a video without any mention of her children instead.
The new video reflected on how important nature has been Kate during her cancer treatment and recovery. In a message accompanying the video, Kate says: “Over the past year, nature has been our sanctuary. This Mother’s Day, let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognise how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves, but remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life. C.”
Posting to social media, fans were pleasantly surprised by the Princess of Wales’s latest move.
