I hope you enjoyed ‘Twixmas’ – the calm period between Christmas and New Year’s Eve where you forget what day it is, enjoy food you’d usually politely decline (as calories definitely don’t count over the festive period) and sit down to watch classic films you never usually have time for. I was fortunate to have the time off, after spending Christmas Day at Sandringham, and I cherished the time to catch up with friends and family and have some me-time – helped by the gift of a spa day from my boyfriend.
But after ushering in the New Year, it’s time to look ahead to what 2026 brings. There’s much to look forward to for the Royal Family, with trips to the US, Antigua and Barbuda and India on the cards, as well as being a big year for young Prince George. The second in line to the throne will become a teenager in the summer, and shortly afterwards he’ll be heading to a new school.
Here are my royal highlights for 2026. I hope you all have lots to look forward to over the coming 12 months and I wish you all a very Happy New Year.
