Trump says ‘Israel must defeat Kamala’, Jewish voters blamed if loses | US | News

Donald Trump has told a fighting anti-Semitism event that “Israel has to defeat Kamala Harris” and Jewish voters ‘will be to blame’ if he doesn’t win the US election.

To make matters, worse, the loudmouth former Commander in Chief made the controversial statement during a Washington event aimed at ‘Fighting Anti-Semitism in America’. Trump had sought to charm Jewish voters despite his increasingly outlandish remarks about God and assertions that Jewish Democrats “should have their head examined.”

The 78-year-old, known for his claims that Jewish people voting Democrat “hate their religion” and suggesting Josh Shapiro wasn’t chosen as Kamala Harris’ VP because of his Jewish faith, boasted that he was “the best President ever” for Israel. He also claimed that the October 7 attack by Hamas wouldn’t have occurred under his watch.

Trump took aim at polls indicating 60% of Jewish voters support Democrats, saying: “In my opinion. The Jewish people would have a lot to do with a loss if I’m at 40%. That would mean 60% are voting for Kamala.”

He expressed dissatisfaction with his current standing among Jewish voters, stating: “The current polling has me with Jewish citizens, Jewish people, people who are supposed to love Israel.. I’m at 40%.. 40% is unacceptable,” reports the Express US.

Joining Trump was Miriam Adelson, co-owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and widow of Sheldon Adelson, the late billionaire casino tycoon and major Republican donor.

Trump emphatically declared, “More than any people on earth, Israel has to defeat Harris,” insisting, “I really believe that. It’s a disaster for Israel.”

Trump lambasted the Vice President for her inaction, saying she “not lifting a finger” to defend the Jewish community against anti-Semitic attacks, and demanded that she renounce the abuse occurring on college campuses.

“I’m here today to tell the Jewish American community that this ugly tide of anti-Semitic pro-Hamas bigotry and hate will be turned back and crushed. Starting at noon on Jan 20 2025,” he declared.

“With your vote I will be your defender, protector and best friend Jewish Americans have ever had in the White House.”

The speech left many viewers perplexed. One person commented online: “I truly don’t get it… (am kinda glad I don’t understand his gibberish)”.

“Does he know he lives in the United States of America,” questioned one individual, while another remarked: “Has he lost his mind?”

Another added: “Uh, last I checked Israel can’t vote in our elections.”

Throughout his campaign, Trump has been openly critical of Jewish people who support Harris. At an August rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he stated: “Any Jewish person who votes for [Harris] or a Democrat has to go out and have their head examined.”

This is not the first instance of Trump sparking outrage with such comments; he previously claimed that Jewish Americans voting for Democrats “hate Israel” and “their own religion” in March.

Trump, addressing the increasing condemnation from Democrats towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s management of the war in Gaza and rising civilian casualties, told his ex-aide Sebastian Gorka, “I actually think they hate Israel,” followed by, “I think they hate Israel. And the Democrat party hates Israel.”

Trump’s comments sparked a backlash from both the White House and prominent Jewish figures when he added, “Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion. They hate everything about Israel and they should be ashamed of themselves because Israel will be destroyed.”
