William and Kate ‘to spoil’ royal children in 2025 | Royal | News

The year 2024 has been extraordinarily challenging for Prince William and Princess Kate, marking perhaps their toughest times yet with both King Charles and Kate receiving cancer diagnoses within a span of a few months. The impact on their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis was profound, but the young royals stood by their mother with immense support as she underwent chemotherapy and made strides toward recovery.

With 2025 ushering in brighter days following the end of Kate’s treatment, the family seeks a return to normalcy, and according to Royal commentator Ingrid Seward, it could be the time for William and Kate to truly “spoil” their brave kids for showing incredible fortitude through adversity.

Speaking to Hello!, Seward commented: “Kate will be wanting to spoil them a bit, because it’s very frightening for children when their parents are that ill, so I think they will be up for a few treats this year. I think William and Kate might take the children skiing during the Easter holidays and will probably be planning a big summer holiday, because as far as we know they didn’t go anywhere last year.”

According to the author, who also wrote “Royal Children”, a book that explores the lives of young royals throughout history, “Like many famous parents, they are cautious about exposing the children to too much scrutiny in this digital age. They know they must produce the children at certain times, but I think they very much keep them under wraps the rest of the time.”

The author described the children’s life as “far more ordinary” than their predecessors, thanks to William and Kate’s decision to take a more hands-on approach to parenting without relying on nannies and staff. This has resulted in the children developing a close bond due to their similar ages and being “bound by the situation they’re in and they’re all in it together.”, reports The Mirror.

While there has been no official announcement regarding Princess Kate’s schedule for 2025, her recent high-profile appearance at her Christmas Carol concert: Together at Christmas, is a positive indication of what’s to come.

Following her cancer diagnosis at the beginning of 2024, Princess Kate took a step back from her Royal duties to focus on her treatment, which kept her out of the public eye for several months. Nevertheless, she continued to make sporadic appearances at events throughout the summer, including Trooping the Colour and a visit to Wimbledon, offering a glimmer of hope for Royal fans.

The Princess of Wales marked a significant milestone with her carol concert appearance in December, her first major high-profile event since announcing the end of her treatment. This was closely followed by her participation in the annual Sandringham walk to church on Christmas Day, signalling a hopeful return to normality.
