With so many Brits trying to save money, it’s no wonder Too Good To Go has become so popular.
By connecting people with shops and restaurants to ensure no food goes to waste, it’s a good way to snap up some leftover supplies on a budget. And one woman recently revealed just how good it is.
Francesca Ramsden, known as francescacharityshop on TikTok, recently snapped up a Too Good To Go bag from Morrisons, and couldn’t believe what she managed to bag for £3.09.
She admitted it was “really heavy”, but she instantly knew she managed to get a lot for her money. The bag was super full, and she could just about manage to carry it.
Inside was some lettuce, white hot dog rolls, chocolate muffins, cinnamon swirls, a can of 7up and three loaves of bread. Not to mention, she said the loaves were “posh”.
Later in the clip, Francesca also revealed she was handed some potatoes and some “posh” brocolli. She finished the video off by claiming the food was an “abosolute bargain”.
Since she shared the post, it’s been viewed thousands of times, and people were quick to comment too. Some couldn’t believe how much she managed to take home for such little money.
One person said: “Great that. All the bread can be frozen, brocolli blanched and frozen, last you for ages!”
Another wrote: “I love Too Good To Go. I’ve only done Morrisons once, and they gave me five bags of carrots and some crumpets.”
A third also added: “What a bargain for £3.09.”
Not everyone was impressed though, as some admitted they haven’t had the best experiences when they’ve snapped up a bag. It seems some are better than others when it comes to what’s inside.
One wrote: “I got one from Morrisons and it was rubbish. Mostly mushrooms. Had a Costa one yesterday and that was rubbish too. Greggs is the place for a Too Good To Go Bag.”
Another chimed in with: “Your bags are always great. I’ve stopped getting them because I’ve never had a good one.”
Meanwhile, one more commented: “That’s such a good one. One I got from Morrisons had about 13 types of bread and that was it.”
The only snag with the process is you can’t pick what type of food you get. When it comes to snapping up leftovers, success just depends on the luck of the draw.
