Wrexham school lockdown LIVE: Parents told ‘don’t come or try to contact your child’ | UK | News

A school in Wales has been placed in a “lockdown situation”, with parents and carers of pupils receiving a concerning alert. The message about the lockdown at Ysgol y Grango in Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham, was sent at around 2.40pm on Thursday. 

It read: “The school is in a lockdown situation. During this period the switchboard and entrances may not be staffed, external doors locked, and nobody will be allowed in or out. Please do not come onto school site or try to contact your child. We will be in contact with more information soon.” The nature of the incident is yet to be officially confirmed.
