Footwear, apparel and accessories launches

Podiatrists we’ve talked to say the Hoka Arahi is one of their favorite stability sneakers for walking and running, and the brand just debuted its latest version. The Arahi 9, which is made with a little more cushioning for a slightly softer feel compared to the previous iteration, has Hoka’s H-frame stability system to prevent your feet from overpronating (rolling inward too much).

The brand upgraded the material on the sides of the shoe, making it tighter to give you more support, and added reflective details for extra safety in low light. You can get these sneakers in men’s and women’s sizes, and regular, wide and extra-wide widths.

Nike created these shoes for people who cross-train, meaning they run and strength train back-to-back — for example, they’re ideal for CrossFit, Orangetheory or Hyrox. The sneakers, which come in men’s and women’s styles, have enough cushioning to absorb shock and keep your feet comfortable while running, but not so much that you feel unstable while lifting.

Their wide base gives your feet lots of contact with the ground to stay balanced, there’s rubber at the heel to prevent the foam from expanding too much during weighted exercises and the grippy, durable outsole makes sure your feet stay in place. The Hybrid RN also has an X-shaped overlay on the top of the shoe to secure your feet as you quickly switch moves.

These Oofos slippers blend recovery with coziness. They’re made with the brand’s signature foam and deep heel cup to absorb impact and keep you comfortable with every step, plus there’s a shearling lining for added warmth. “My feet are chronically achy and standing at the kitchen sink or stove leaves my back sore, too — these mules help ease that,” says NBC Selected commerce editor Bethany Heitman. “I wear them around the house and outside, and since they slip on and off easily, they’re perfect for my son’s shoes-off mommy-and-me gym class or a quick trash run. I also like that the fur feels stylish for fall.”

The new 6-inch Kindle is Amazon’s most pocket-sized e-reader yet. A seamless flush-front design makes it lighter, while 16GB of storage, up to six weeks of battery life and 30 percent faster book opening keep you reading uninterrupted. It’s made with recycled materials and a 100 percent recycled cobalt battery.

You can also upgrade to a 32GB aluminum-back version with a premium matte finish. Along with this new 6-inch Kindle, Amazon just launched a new version of the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Papersoft, which are currently available for pre-order with shipping starting October 28.

The Alexa Tablet 11 is Amazon’s new mid-size tablet, built around Alexa+ and wrapped in aluminum. Its 11-inch, 2.5K display runs at a smooth 90Hz and reaches 500 nits, making it well suited to streaming, browsing and reading. Inside, an octa-core MediaTek processor and 8GB of RAM keep things responsive, with 64GB or 128GB of storage. Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, dual microphones, a fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6 and IP52 splash resistance round out the tablet.

The battery delivers up to 15 hours of video or up to 20 hours of reading, according to the brand. You can also add an optional magnetic stylus for notes and sketches.

This device is part of an entirely new slate of Amazon tablets, including the bigger-screen Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, the smaller, more affordable Alexa Tablet 8 and new kids tablets.

Samsung’s latest tablet has a 14.6-inch screen, faster processing, upgraded overall performance and a longer-lasting battery life, making it ideal for enjoying entertainment, making video calls and treating it as a laptop substitute. “I’ve been testing this for a few weeks and I’m amazed by how good movies and television shows look on it,” says Heitman. “It’s also fast and smooth, meaning that switching between apps never feels sluggish.”

The tablet, which launched alongside the smaller and lighter Tab S12+, also has multi-window view and comes with a stylus, and apps for creators like Adobe Photoshop and Pinterest come pre-loaded. There’s built-in smart helpers too, like Note Assist, which can tidy up your notes and pull out the key points for you.

Meet Ray-Ban Meta Audio, Meta’s first audio-only AI glasses. With no camera or display, they’re the lightest and slimmest pair in the lineup, looking like classic Ray-Bans in Clubmaster and Burbank styles. Open-ear speakers let you stream music, podcasts and calls without earbuds, while built-in microphones give you hands-free access to Meta AI, including live translation. Enjoy up to 12 hours of battery life, and there’s prescription-lens options.

Meta also recently announced that it’s adding Muse, a personal AI agent, to its AI glasses, and it debuted the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3, which has better battery life and a slimmer, more comfortable design compared to the previous iteration, plus a customizable action button. You can also now pick from 27 color and lens combinations across three styles.

In case you missed it, bemotrizinol (also known as BEMT) is a newly-approved sunscreen filter that officially passed the FDA’s rigorous approvals process in June. BEMT helps to make formulas lightweight and invisible while still maintaining strong, broad-spectrum UV protection, according to the brand.

La Roche-Posay’s new SPF is a revamped version of the original Anthelios formula (which is a tried-and-true NBC Selected favorite) that includes the new ingredient. It has a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly with an invisible finish, making it a great option for all skin tones. It also includes an antioxidant blend that protects skin from environmental and free radical damage for up to 16 hours, and leaves skin hydrated for up to 24, according to the brand.

Nutrafol is a favorite among our NBC Selected editors for hair growth, and this serum is the latest launch from the brand with a focus on protecting the hair you already have. The leave-in treatment is meant to reduce breakage and prevent split ends, according to the brand. Plus, it’s lightweight, so it won’t weigh down your hair.

“I like to style my hair with a blow dryer brush, which means my hair is full of split ends and breakage,” says NBC Selected associate social media editor Caitlin Cusack. “I’ve been using the Strand Serum for the last few weeks and have definitely noticed an improvement in my hair health, which has made styling much easier, and I’ve even noticed that my blowouts are lasting longer.”

Hero Cosmetics’ viral pimple patches are some of our favorite ways to cover a breakout and absorb gunk to help them go away. But with the popularity of pimple patches in the shapes of stars, flowers and other cute (and sometimes funky) designs, Hero Cosmetics has finally adopted the trend with these newly released patches. They’re kicking off with a limited-edition, holiday-themed collection, including patches in the form of peppermints, snowflakes and more.

Prep and store ingredients with Ninja’s latest motorized kitchen gadget, the Prepi. It has interchangeable blades that let you dice, chop, slice, shred and puree, and then you can take off the PowerPod motor and serve everything inside the tool. It also comes with covers to store the food. To use the Prepi, you add whole ingredients to the chute and press down on them with the plunger, guiding them through the blade. Other than the blade, all parts are dishwasher-safe.

Most of Windmill’s home appliances are designed to keep you cool — until now. The brand’s newest product is a space heater that oscillates to distribute warmth across rooms and reduce cold spots. It operates quietly and has three heat settings, a timer, an auto-dimming display, a handle and a compact design that’s not an eyesore in your home. Plus, you don’t need an app to use it — just adjust its settings with the included remote.

The space heater also has numerous built-in safety features: The plug monitors heat levels and disconnects the power if needed; there’s overheat and tip-over protection; the internal components are VO flame-retardant; you can turn on a child safety lock; and there’s a plugged-in warning light.

This coffee maker replicates the pour-over brewing method: It manually pours hot water in a spiral pattern over a filter with ground coffee at timed internals, which makes for an extra flavorful cup of joe. It has a built-in grinder that prepares coffee so it’s perfect for pour over, as well as a delayed auto start option. There are also customizable features, letting you adjust temperature, strength and grind type, for example. You can brew directly into mugs for smaller single-serve cups or brew into the 20-ounce carafe to make enough for a crowd.

Travel launches

Away’s iconic luggage just got an upgrade. The Series 3 collection has multiple new features to make travel seamless, including a built-in wheel brake that keeps your suitcase in place, a hook (on the handle) to hang an extra item like a jacket or duty-free bag, a dedicated pocket for your Bluetooth tracker and smoother, quieter wheels. The handle also adjusts to lock anywhere you want it; no more three-level height limits.

Both sides of the suitcases also now open outward, making it easier to see everything packed inside, and they come with the brand’s compression system to fit as much of your stuff as possible These new features will be available across Away’s classic styles (Carry-On 3, Bigger Carry-On 3, Medium 3, Large 3, and Trunk 3) and expandable Flex styles (Carry-On Flex 3, Bigger Carry-On Flex 3, Medium Flex 3 and Large Flex 3).

Away also launched its Signature Bags collection this month with five new styles: the Signature Companion Bag (which you can use as your in-flight personal item), Signature Tote, Signature Triple Zip Duffle (part briefcase, part duffel bag), Signature Weekender and Slim Commuter Backpack.

The Bogg Bag is one of the most popular beach bags on the market, and after making dozens of versions and accessories, the brand now offers an additional bag: the Go Tote. It’s a lightweight everyday bag made from soft, flexible, water-resistant, easy-to-clean material. The Go Tote has a flat, durable, tip-resistant base, just like the original Bogg Bag, as well as top handles and a crossbody strap. There’s internal and external pockets for all your stuff, too. You can get the bag in three sizes: Go Little, Go Tote and Go Big.

After shutting down in 2025, Paravel is officially under new ownership and back with a suite of travel essentials. You can now shop some of its most popular, recently refreshed pieces, like the hard-shell Aviator Luggage in four sizes (carry-on, carry-on plus, grand and trunk) and the Signature Canvas Totes. There’s also travel accessories: a set of four packing cubes and a luggage tag.

Then there is the top-of-the-line Tread+ Vision, which features a cushioned belt, extra room to run and a mode that allows you to turn it into a strength-building sled. All three also have a swiveling HD touchscreen, personalized training plans and smart pace suggestions.

Period care brand Thinx expanded into apparel for the first time with these flowy, athletic-inspired shorts that have built-in, leak-resistant period underwear. There’s an absorbent gusset on the inside of the shorts, so you can wear them day and night for up to 12 hours.
