Donald Trump sparks health fears in bizarre rant as aides scramble to end meeting | World | News

Donald Trump’s aides reportedly “rushed the press” out of the Oval Office after one of his speeches sparked fears that “something was wrong”. The US President discussed the war in Iran, his recent meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, and his ambition to “end the war” in Ukraine with reporters in the White House on Wednesday.

He then began rambling about how his team were “changing all the grass in all the parks” before oddly comparing grass to “human beings”. It prompted what one critic called a frantic effort to get everyone the “hell out of there” while Mr Trump continued his bizarre rant.

Political commentator David Pakman said the speech marked what he called a “strange chapter in the novel that is this insane presidency”.

He said: “They suddenly realised something was wrong with Donald Trump in the Oval Office, and they rushed the press out.”

Speaking on his YouTube channel, The David Pakman Show, he added: “As it became clear to the aides in the room that Donald Trump was starting to decompensate, and he simply couldn’t do it anymore, the bevvy of aides who mostly have the same look.

“I don’t know if like, am I not supposed to notice that the aides have a very similar look? They just rush reporters out of the room.”

In the footage, Mr Trump abruptly thanks those in attendance, signalling the end of the meeting, before two aides position themselves directly in front of the cameras.

As the camera pulls back, two female staff members can be seen frantically motioning with their arms for the press to leave. As journalists hastily departed, the US President and his associates were visible in the background, smiling.

Before the meeting’s abrupt ending, Mr Trump was heard saying: “Grass is like human beings. Grass is a life also. And we’re changing. We’re raking, cleaning and changing all of the parks. We don’t have people.”

He continued: “We don’t have the tents anymore. We don’t have all the barbed wire up. We don’t have the wire up.” He then shifted his attention to border security, windmills and his plans to transform Dulles Airport in Virginia.

The US President said: “Within a few years, it will be rated the best airport in the country. So it’s going to be so efficient. Right now, it’s totally inefficient between the trams and the Star Wars thing that they go up.

“The Star Wars and elevated buses, and nobody knows what’s going on. It’s a real mess.”
