White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has inadvertently sparked a fresh wave of online speculation about US President Donald Trump after sharing a behind-the-scenes photograph from his visit to Georgia.
Leavitt posted the image on X on July 22 as the President conducted an interview with Atlanta News First, promoting his Trump Accounts initiative, the Save America Act and Mike Collins’ Senate campaign.
“We are on the ground in Georgia, where President Trump is taking time to do a local interview with @ATLNewsFirst to talk Trump Accounts, the Save America Act, and @MikeCollinsGA!” she wrote.
However, rather than focusing on the interview, many social media users zeroed in on Trump’s posture in the side-on photograph, prompting a wave of comments and jokes.
Several critics revived longstanding online rumours suggesting the President wears adult diapers. There is no verified medical evidence or official confirmation to support those claims, which have circulated for years as a recurring form of political mockery.
Among the replies, one X user joked: “Hope you changed his diapers.”
Another wrote: “He is s——g in his diaper right now.”
A third commented: “I’ll never get used to how weird he stands,” while another asked: “Why does he stand like that?”
Others focused on the President’s appearance, with one user writing: “Has he become fat….” Another remarked: “Look at that hand lmao. Gross.”
The latest online discussion follows similar reactions during last month’s FIFA World Cup final, when videos shared by presidential aide Margo Martin prompted another round of speculation from critics.
Martin posted footage of Trump presenting medals alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino after Spain’s victory over Argentina. While many comments focused on Trump’s decision to remain on stage during Spain’s trophy celebrations, others repeated the same unsubstantiated claims about his appearance.
One commenter asked Martin: “You change his diaper or did you fight Natalie [Harp] for it?”
Another wrote: “Took a long time for the diaper change.”
Trump also faced criticism over remaining on stage during Spain’s trophy celebrations, with one user commenting: “Had to drag Trump off the stage because it was a TEAM PICTURE.”
Another questioned: “W-f trump not moving,” while a further commenter accused the President of trying to “steal some of Spain’s glory.”
The President has never publicly addressed the online rumours, and neither the White House nor his medical team has provided any indication that the claims are accurate.
The renewed attention comes amid heightened scrutiny of Trump’s public appearances, with every image and video of the 80-year-old President continuing to generate intense debate online.
While the latest photograph has fuelled widespread discussion across social media platforms, the claims regarding adult diapers remain unverified and should be treated as online speculation rather than established fact.
