April is the perfect time to plant these colourful flowers for summer blooms

Cosmos

There’s several varieties of Cosmos, but one provides a bright white open face flower. April is a great time to sow the seeds in order to see the blooms in summer. 

Poppies

The red blooms should be sown in March through May, and they’ll last throughout summer and into autumn. There’s several varieties, including orange California poppies, field poppies and opium poppies.
