McCartney shared: “It was a few years ago at Coachella… there was a lot of vintage acts. Us, Stones, Bob, Neil Young. And one of our girls said, ‘Bob Dylan wants to see you.’ I said, ‘Oh yeah? Is there a big crowd in there?’ She said, ‘No, he just wants to see you, say hello.’”
Macca continued: “We had met up in Sixties, we did know each other. I came into see him and it was just him and me in this massive big tent backstage. He was very complementary. It was funny because it was a little bit embarrassing. He said, ‘You’re a star.’ I thought, ‘Oh, what do you say to that? Umm, thank you, Bob. And I love what you do.’”
