In a rare social media occurrence, Tallulah Willis shared a photo of her father on her Instagram account.
The Sept. 28 post features Tallulah Willis, 32, the actor’s youngest daughter with Demi Moore, planting a kiss on her father’s head.
The caption reads, “so cute! 😚😚”
The “Die Hard” star was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, or FTD, in 2023, after first being diagnosed with aphasia in March 2022 and stepping away from acting. The regressive disease mainly affects communication and behavior, rather than memory, like more common forms of dementia.
Tallulah Willis has been previously vocal about her dad’s condition. His early symptoms, she wrote in a 2023 essay, “started out with a kind of vague unresponsiveness.”
Fearing he’d become preoccupied with his two youngest daughters he had with second wife, Emma Heming Willis, following his divorce from Moore, “I thought he’d lost interest in me.”
She soon realized, after a series of cognitive tests, that his behavioral changes were linked to something else entirely.
Once her father was diagnosed, Tallulah Willis took it upon herself to savor the moments she shares with him. “I find that I’m trying to document, to build a record for the day when he isn’t there to remind me of him and of us,” she wrote.
While his demeanor and language capabilities have changed, their connection continues to run deep, Tallulah writing that her father still “lights up when I enter the room.”
In June, 2025, Tallulah Willis shared another glimpse into her family’s life with an Instagram post she captioned, “Sunday Funday at Grams !”
In the series of photos, Tallulah holds her father’s hand in one and hugs him in another. In them, Bruce Willis smiles.
Though his life has taken a turn, the former actor isn’t aware of his diagnosis, Heming Willis revealed. “He never connected the dots that he had this disease. I’m really happy about that. I’m really happy he doesn’t know about it,” she said during a podcast appearance.
Bruce Willis remains surrounded by his five daughters, his granddaughter, ex-wife, Moore, and Heming Willis.
Moore and Willis remain close after being married from 1987 to 2000, with the actress continuing to share sweet photos of their family together, including Heming Willis, Bruce Willis’ full-time caregiver.
