As England supporters firm up their plans for tonight’s 8pm World Cup kick off (July 15) many Brits are saying a little prayer that we beat Argentina in what promises to be a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat encounter, no doubt complete with plenty of screaming at the TV screen, regardless of where people choose to watch it.

But, despite the fact that many England fans may have their reservations about a win, according to the Chinese Zodiac, an England victory could very much be on the cards. It is all down to a ‘rare’ celestial moment and alignment that works enormously in our favour, and it’s exciting.

Medium Chloe Smith has revealed why she believes England will defeat Argentina this evening. Moreover, she forecasts they will proceed to overcome Spain, who surprisingly defeated France last night (July 14), in the opening semi-final.

She captioned her post: “The Chinese Zodiac runs on a 60-year cycle that combines 12 animal signs with 5 elements. 1966: The year England won its first and only World Cup was a Fire Horse year. 2026: Exactly 60 years later, the Fire Horse makes its rare return”.

Chloe highlighted: “Because of this 60-year alignment, the 2026 World Cup lands precisely on the same zodiac sign as 1966”.

In the actual graphic Chloe shared, she also said, “take this as a sign,” which many England supporters undoubtedly will be doing.

Someone else remarked: “The tournament is taking place during the Saturn and Jupiter return of the 1966 win. I, too, think it’s coming home!”

Another user noted that the Vedic Astrologer had highlighted that a team would emerge victorious where “the captain had a birth year of 1993”. That can only refer to Harry Kane, born on 28th July 1993, which also makes him a Leo — ideal for channelling fire energy.

It is fair to say that fans are thoroughly delighted the stars appear to be aligning in England’s favour. One commenter enthused: “Awww, yeah, fire horse, do your thing and let’s f****** have it.”

A second wrote: “As soon as they faced off against Norway, I had a feeling they’d be bringing it home.”

While a third chimed in: “60 years of hurt – come on boys”.

What does the year of the Fire Horse actually mean?

The Chinese zodiac is a repeating 12-year cycle where each year is represented by an animal sign. The signs, in order, are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat (Sheep), Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig.

It’s commonly used to refer to the year someone was born (and traditional personality traits linked to that sign), and it plays a big role in Lunar New Year culture.

So, what does this mean for the Fire Horse in particular? According to China Highlights: “In Chinese culture, the Horse is known for its energetic and dynamic nature. It symbolises vitality, speed, and perseverance.

“People born in the Year of the Horse are believed to possess similar traits, such as being hardworking, warm-hearted, and independent.”

The horse is further associated with success and good fortune, meaning those born in a year linked to the horse (2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954, 1942) are considered likely to enjoy prosperous times ahead.

Those born in a fire horse year, such as 2026, are expected to be “smart, charismatic, lively, overflowing with enthusiasm, but stubborn”.
