King Charles reportedly offered to accommodate the family at a secure, undisclosed royal residence (widely believed to be Buckingham Palace). While the palace itself is heavily secure, Prince Harry’s representatives rejected the arrangement, stating that “risk follows the person, not the place.” They emphasised that the family would still be left unprotected the moment they stepped outside of royal premises for public engagements.

While the family has entirely ruled out visiting London, their spokesperson confirmed they have not completely dismissed visiting other parts of Britain where different security arrangements might apply. There is a slight possibility that Meghan and the children could bypass London entirely and travel straight to Birmingham later in the week, under the protection of their private international security team.
