Five Guys customers can now get their hands on free food – including fries and milkshakes – thanks to a brand new rewards programme. The beloved burger chain has quietly rolled out “Five Guys Rewards”, offering fans freebies and money-saving benefits simply for signing up.
Customers nearly missed the fantastic deal until it was shared across social media. New members receive a complimentary portion of fries immediately upon joining, with a small or regular portion valued at up to £5.95.
The scheme is straightforward to use, requiring customers to simply scan a QR-style pass on their mobile phone at the till to claim their offers.
There’s also a birthday bonus on offer, with members receiving a free milkshake – worth approximately £6.15 – to mark the occasion.
The perks don’t end there, however.
Every time customers spend more than £7 and scan their pass, they’ll unlock a fresh reward to use on their next visit.
These offers differ each time, but can include deals such as buy-one-get-one-free burgers, discounted sides or other money-off vouchers.
The tip was posted online by money-saving expert Jordon Cox, known as Britain’s Coupon King, who regularly shares deals and savvy hacks with his followers.
According to the Five Guys website, the programme is designed to be “simple and generous”, with rewards automatically loaded to your Apple or Google Wallet – no separate app needed. Customers have warmly embraced the development, particularly given the chain’s reputation for charging more than many of its fast food rivals.
The launch could offer some welcome relief for diners, with burgers, fries and shakes frequently coming to well over £15 per person.
With rewards accumulating after each qualifying visit, regular customers could soon find themselves building up considerable savings.
