The odd bit of banter aside, broadcasting the World Cup Final for the BBC is serious business.
You could tell by the way Wayne Rooney, Micah Richards, and Joe Hart were dressed in their suits that providing analysis for the game between Argentina and Spain is about as big as it gets.
While you all would have seen them pointing out defensive lines and clever attacking runs, many of you would also have wondered: What happens when the cameras aren’t rolling?
Well, I was lucky enough to be granted a seat just in front of Gabby Logan and her co-stars at the New York/New Jersey Stadium, and I got to see the surprising ways they act when not on TV.
It turns out the lads love to dance. Maybe not every time the cameras stopped rolling, but they were busting a move pretty regularly.
At first, I thought it was just Rooney bobbing his head. But when Joe Hart started swaying from side to side and Micah Richards began bobbing up and down, I could tell this was some off-camera banter they regularly got into.
Things settled down a little once proceedings properly began. Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney pulled out their phones and filmed the whole US national anthem while leaning over the balcony.
In fact, Hart and Rooney stood for pretty much the whole first 45 minutes, while Gabby Logan and Richards remained in their seats.

As the game neared kick-off, Rooney was spotted by some of the fans and gave them a thumbs-up. Then they all turned and leaned on the railing to watch the game.
Joe Hart was clearly the one visibly enjoying the occasion the most, whipping his phone out to film the Argentina fans and constantly spinning his head around to take everything in.
You realise how much preparation interrupts them seeing the actual football. During the game, they flipped between watching at the side of the balcony and huddling together with the producers, no doubt discussing what analysis needed to be done.
After Lamine Yamal took an outrageously good touch, they all crouched around the monitor to have another look, and there was a similar huddle when he was cleaned out by an Argentine defender moments later.
When they were watching, you could tell they were living it. As a hefty challenge between two players took place on the right wing, Rooney shifted his knees like he was kicking an invisible ball.
At the first hydration break, the music kicked in and had the lads dancing. Joe Hart started wiggling his hips like he was auditioning for Strictly Come Dancing.
That was only bettered by a later break when all three started swaying in unison to the music; Richards was definitely giving it the most, swinging his shoulders about.
The main indicator that a moment of live telly was coming was the appearance of the make-up artist. As each break approached, they came running out to quickly apply layers of foundation. At one such moment, Joe Hart took the opportunity to bounce and sing along with the Argentina fans.
It all ended with the team taking a photo together. They all got on their phones, and Rooney made a call, while Hart and Richards loitered about.
They all shared a joke together and looked thoroughly relaxed. Clearly, they get on well off-camera – enough to have a proper knees-up.
