Meghan Markle is said to have appeared at the first day of the Her Best Life podcast retreat in Sydney for just two hours today. The 44-year-old was previously noted a speaker at the three-day event, which is being held at the InterContinental in beachside Coogee until Sunday.
The former working royal’s appearance saw her answer fans questions on stage as well as pose for pictured with them. Fans are thought to have spent between £1.7k to £2k on tickets to see Meghan at the event – which is where she spoke about her “very hard” life.
Discussing her life since marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan also praised their two children – six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet – for being her “inspiration”. Despite referring to her royal wedding and births of her children as “amazing moments”, Meghan also insisted that she had also “endured” constant attacks for a decade.
Although his attendance before the event was unknown, Harry stepped out to support his wife as she spoke on stage. Harry, who is known to have been one of the very few men in the room, was seen reportedly giving Meghan a standing ovation as she arrived in the room.
People attending the event were made aware of a “no recording policy for the duration of her interview”, calling it a “non-negotiable security requirement”.
Attendees had also paid an extra £265 [$500] for a “VIP experience”, which included a picture with Meghan at the event. People who attended the retreat were left to enjoy an evening without Meghan, who is said to have left around 7pm.
They will spend the weekend relaxing at the hotel where they can lounge by the pool, do yoga, meditate, try “sound healing” and listen to inspirational guest speakers.
