Jet2 has announced a major update for the travellers as the airline company revealed 30 new routes, including two new routes in the UK. Earlier this year, the travel company explained that strong performance at its relatively new London Gatwick base had prompted further expansion, including plans to introduce a new and exclusive route to Lesvos (Mytilene) starting in 2027.
It also announced a major increase to its Jersey programme for Summer 2027, with flights set to depart from six UK airports, thanks to the addition of two new routes. It comes after its reassurance to passengers that “summer is on,” even as concerns grow over the availability of jet fuel.
The airline says its confidence is based on positive updates from its suppliers, who have reported increased production and additional imports of jet fuel, helping to stabilise supply despite wider uncertainty.
A spokesperson told HuffPost UK that overall, they will be offering 30 new routes starting in 2027.
The spokesperson said: “With 30 new routes and three brand new destinations, including Thassos, Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh, on sale for Summer 2027, we are giving holidaymakers a fantastic choice and flexibility when it comes to locking some sunshine into the diary.”
The popular tour operator will also fly to two Greek destinations set to launch from Leeds Bradford Airport.
Flights to Santorini and Preveza will now be available for the first time from summer 2027. Services to Preveza will operate every Sunday through to October 10, 2027, while Santorini flights will depart on Thursdays until October 7, 2027.
According to Jet2, the Summer 2027 timetable at Leeds Bradford will be the largest to date. Nearly two million seats will be available across 53 routes.
