LIV Golf LIVE: Saudi Arabia to pull funds, aces reach out to PGA Tour | Golf | Sport

Storm clouds are growing over LIV Golf. In 2022, the rebel golf tour drove a golf cart through the heart of the sport with their mega-millions and rebellious tendencies. Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson were among the first to turn their backs on the PGA Tour and move to the rebels, who were bankrolled by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund backed tour.

Jon Rahm was eventually persuaded to follow the money and the landscape of golf was changed forever. However, it now appears set for another change, as various reports understand the tour’s Saudi backers are going to pull their funding.

LIV is yet to make a profit and the tour’s CEO recently said it could be ten years until it starts to make money. Now the Saudis are seemingly about to walk away, a perilous future may be awaiting LIV. Express Sport is here with all of the latest updates around the tour.
