Marks and Spencer has unveiled five new locations across the UK, including full-line stores and food halls. M&S recently launched a new outlet at Fairacres Retail Park in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, and a new site in Surrey is expected this summer.
The new food halls feature produce from M&S‘s Select Farm partners, alongside an in-store bakery, coffee station, and Hot Chicken Counter. Shoppers can additionally browse a specialist Flower and Wine section, boasting Flower Market Specials and award-winning wines. Fairacres Store Manager, Paddy Sunderland, said: “I grew up locally so it feels really special to be opening a brand-new store in Abingdon today.
“The team have done an amazing job getting the store ready and we’re proud to bring the very best of M&S Food – from trusted value to exceptional quality – to customers.
“We have everything customers need for their shopping list at the store including our Bigger Pack Better Value range, which is perfect for families.”
Speaking about the plans to open a new store in Surrey, the retailer said: “Marks and Spencer is bringing forward plans to deliver a brand-new M&S Food at the site of the former Homebase store on Woolsack Way, Godalming.
“This proposal forms part of M&S’ continued investment in Surrey and will bring the very best of M&S Food to local customers. Our proposals will provide up to 80 new jobs, improve shopping choice in the area, and bring a vacant unit back into use and improve accessibility and car park layout to deliver a new store.”
