The up-market retailer is expected to open two brand new branches while 12 others will undergo a huge makeover.
It comes as part of a £30 million investment by Marks and Spencer to overhaul its offering of stores in the country’s capital.
Marks and Spencer is improving its London portfolio as part of a wider strategy known as its ‘store rotation programme‘.
The retailer outlined plans to operate 180 “full line” department-style stores, selling clothing, beauty ranges, homeware, and food, plus 420 food halls across the UK.
The move will create around 100 jobs and include the debut of new market-style food halls in Sidcup and Friern Barnet.
Marks and Spencer will unveil the new-look stores in a matter of weeks, with Sidcup local set to welcome its first food hall on June 19.
Londoners in Freirn Barnet will see the M&S site unlock its doors for the first time later in August.
Meanwhile, existing branches in Brixton Road, Chancery Lane, Teddington and Blackheath are set for renovation this summer.
The 12 stores will be re-modelled with bigger in-store bakeries, dedicated flower and wine shops and click and collect services.
Outside of London, Marks and Spencer will welcome four new full-line stores and nine food halls, as revealed in its latest full-year results report.
The retailer is preparing to open a new food hall in Guildford at Ladymead Retail Park on June 12.
Inside, customers will find an extensive food hall, bakery, and a card and wrap shop, as well as a click-and-collect point for M&S purchases and travel money services.
Additionally, a new full-line store is scheduled to open at Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee by the end of summer, with another food hall planned for Largs in 2025.
