Meghan Markle told to ‘eat humble pie’ and make one move to succeed | Royal | News

A public relations expert has given his opinion on how Meghan Markle can get her brand to succeed while at the same time improving transatlantic relations between her, Prince Harry, and the rest of the Royal Family.

Since Meghan and Harry’s move to the USA at the start of 2020, there has been a lot of discussion about whether ties could be rebuilt between them and other senior royals. Discussions about those ties have only grown with Harry and Meghan visiting King Charles with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, earlier this year.

Now, a public relations expert has suggested that some “healing” between Meghan and the rest of the Royal Family could not only make her brand stronger but also help her find some purpose through having what he described as a “critical friend”.

Speaking to Hello! Mark Borkowski suggested: “The important thing is some level of rapprochement to try to create some healing within the Royal Family. Meghan needs a critical friend who will advise her to eat humble pie and look at a gradual return to Britain.”

He suggested: “She could be a powerful celebrity duchess – but not a working royal – if she could find purpose and help Harry have a more dignified relationship with Britain.”

When it comes to Meghan’s media ventures, Mark suggested she shouldn’t give up on making products of this type. He said: “I would have another crack at getting it right with a good team to make documentaries and lifestyle TY that are really good and where Meghan can use her best assets.”

Mark’s comments come as Harry has made an increasing number of visits to the UK, particularly in relation to his Invictus Games, alongside other military-related trips to Ukraine to support veterans there.

Mark isn’t the only person to have talked about a potential Meghan comeback and what this could entail, with founder of PR and branding agency The Atticism, Renae Smith, suggesting Meghan could still win the British public over.

Speaking to the Express’s Sophia Papamavroudi last month, she said that if she followed Harry’s strategy of sticking to why he was in the UK and not engaging in any “explosive interviews” or “bizarre side stories”, then she could win the public back over.

Renae explained that, whilst this would take time, it was definitely possible for Meghan to have a UK renaissance.

She said: “Will it ‘fix’ anything? I don’t think so, not yet…If Meghan repeated this approach, say another ten times, then yes, I genuinely think people would slowly begin to soften towards her – even just slightly.

“People might eventually start saying, ‘Actually, she’s not making everything about herself anymore,’ or ‘Perhaps she’s just supporting her husband.’ But that’s the keyword: consistency.”
