Morrisons customers are being urged to spend £40 before Saturday to get a bumper 10% off their shopping. Frontline workers can get 10% off their shop on Friday, April 24 if they have a Blue Light Card.
The supermarket has been running Blue Light Card Fridays since March, offering shoppers the chance to slash the cost of their shopping on specific days.
All Blue Light Card holders have to do is redeem the discount code via their app when making an in-store purchase.
The saving comes at a time when the cost of everyday groceries and shopping continues to rise.
Recent research from Which? shows that the cost of a typical weekly shop at Morrisons amounts to £201.02, meaning typical cardholders can save over £20 this Friday with the 10% saving. With over 195K member redemptions since the deal was launched, that’s almost £4M in potential savings.
Blue Light Card holders include NHS workers, police, civil servants, teachers and those in the armed forces among other public service sector workers.
Morrisons says that since the deal was launched, frontline workers who have redeemed this exclusive offer have been able to unlock up to £3.9 million in savings on the cost of their grocery shop.

Morrisons says that a maximum 10% discount of £70 will be awarded per shop and it doesn’t apply to petrol, diesel, spirits, lottery, tobacco and some other products.
