Marks and Spencer shoppers have been snapping up a new pair of trousers from the high street store. Customers have branded the trousers as comfortable and ideal for a range of seasons.
The Satin Drawstring Wide Leg Trousers are priced at £30 and come in five different colours. There is a choice between navy, black, bitter chocolate, beige and moss. The popular trousers have sold over 100 times in the past five days and come in sizes six to 24.
There is also a choice for leg lengths including extra short, short/petite, regular and long. Marks and Spencer’s description reads: “Breeze from desk to dinner in these sophisticated satin trousers.
“Designed in a flattering wide-leg fit with a high-rise waist that’s elasticated for comfort. Complete with a drawstring fastening for a secure feel.”
The trousers feature a wide leg, drawstring fastening and a high rise. Shoppers have said the trousers fit true to size.
One said: “Lovely weight trousers, feel much more expensive than their actual price. Another plus there are pockets. Good length I did buy the long.”
Another added: “Bought these in chocolate to take on holiday. I love them. They feel dressy but are so comfortable. The short size was a perfect for me at 5ft 1.”
Someone else commented: “All year rounders, I already have one similar pair which I got last year and I’ve worn them winter & summer, stylish day & night pants.” A fourth wrote: “Lovely trousers to wear casual during the day or to dress up at night.”
Another shared: “Bought for holiday don’t disappoint bought in Chocolate Brown and Taupe love them both great with cami top on holiday and be great during autumn winter with jumper/ sweatshirt they travelled well .. easy to dress up or down Loveee”
Despite the positive reviews, some shoppers have struggled with the sizing of the trousers. One said: “Lovely trousers but I have always been an 8 regular until recently now an 8 regular in any M&S trousers are about 5 inches too long and an 8 short is about 3 inches too short, what have they done.”
Another wrote: “Gorgeous drape on these trousers lovely fit and easy to wear, but don’t understand why a short size touches the floor with shoes on.
“Bought to go with the satin slip dress so won’t wear too often but it’s so annoying to have to take pot luck with the sizes. Recently returned a short pair of trousers because they were too short and these are too long!”
Marks and Spencer isn’t the only store to sell wide-leg satin trousers. Next has Black Satin Tie Waist Wide Leg Trousers that were £38 but are now £19.
They were stocked in sizes six to 26, but are currently in stock in sizes 12 to 26. There is also the option of short, regular, long and extra long lengths.
Meanwhile, River Island has Satin Elasticated Wide Leg Trousers in brown and beige. They have been reduced to £20 from £29 and are in sizes extra small to extra large.
