This week, My Chemical Romance will be taking on their biggest shows of the UK leg of their Long Live the Black Parade Tour. The band, made up of Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero and Ray Toro, will be playing three concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium. There, they’ll perform to a cumulative 270,000 people. And the attendees have a lot in store for them.
Thus far in the ongoing tour, My Chemical Romance have put on a sort of play each night. The rockers, fronted by Gerard, act as The National Band for the fictional nation of Draag. And during each performance, they are either telling or reciting a story of The Black Parade to the Grand Immortal Dictator, the authoritarian ruler of the country. Below, we’ve detailed what fans can expect from the upcoming shows, so if you’re sensitive to spoilers, you have been warning. On this incredible journey – which sees My Chemical Romance performing their 2006 album, The Black Parade, in full – the band take on the guise of the fictional group The Ministry of Complimentary Reconditioning (MCR).
Their logo has been written above the grandstand in Keposhka, Draag’s fictional language, which was designed by comic book designer and typographer Nate Piekos.
What’s more, throughout each performance “rules” have been projected on the venue’s large screens. These have since been translated by fans who suggest they state such esoteric commands as: “No weapons, dental tools or otherwise,” “All feet must be covered from sight with foot coverings of some kind” and “Run slowly (when possible).”
In past shows, before fans arrived in the venue, they were given signs which read YEA and NAY. These were later used by Gerard to conduct votes on whether or not to execute certain members of the cast and crew.
If the votes resulted in the positive, various methods of execution have been carried out, with lots of blood, gore and excitement in the process.
Throughout the nights Gerard has grabbed knives, weapons, and other instruments and described them as “tools for our treasonous needs”.
Plenty of video footage showed off the danger of nuclear fallout and its impending threat, as well (seemingly, Draag has endured or is about to suffer some sort of nuclear battle).

Most evening, the first portion of My Chemical Romance’s show comes to an end when a clown, Pierrot, arrives on stage with a bomb vest. He slaughters Gerard with a knife, prompting a comical amount of blood to spray across the stage. After that, the bomb goes off, and the band transitions into the second part of the concert.
Here, they play a seemingly random string of songs from their repertoire before bringing the gig to an end.
