Nationwide has announced a new partnership with PayPoint, enabling the build society’s customers to make cash deposits of up to £300 per day at the network’s locations across the country. Customers will be able to use more than 3,000 participating UK locations, many of which open early and close late throughout the week, alongside Nationwide‘s 605 branches.
Cash desposits will appear in accounts within minutes, offering “greater flexibility for those who rely on cash as part of their everyday banking”, Nationwide said. The high street giant says the new service “furthers Nationwide’s commitment to give customers choice in how they bank and access cash, while sitting alongside the Society’s branch network”.
However, it stresses that it continues to invest in its high‑street presence and has vowed to keep all its branches open until at least 2030, “recognising the vital role they play in supporting customers and local communities”.
Nationwide now stakes its claim as the largest single-brand single-brand network in the wake of widespread closures across its high street banking rivals.
Customers can find their nearest PayPoint location on Nationwide website or app.
Stephen Noakes, Director of Retail at the building society, said: “We’re pleased to partner with PayPoint to give our customers even more choice in how they manage their money.
“This service is a valuable addition to our branches.
“Our leading commitment to the high street and to keeping branches open until at least 2030 remains unchanged, and this partnership helps us serve customers and communities in new and convenient ways.”
Nationwide says the partnership builds on a range of extensive services already available across its branch network, which offer a range of support.
This includes from dementia clinics (which have been recently expanded to Virgin Money branches) and Safe Spaces for those experiencing domestic abuse, alongside everyday banking services.
