Talking about the state visit, Piers said: “It was a historic triumph. A masterclass in the sort of diplomacy that only the British Royal Family can pull off.”
King Charles did not meet up with Harry and Meghan when he was in the US – the place his youngest son Prince Harry and Harry’s wife Meghan have called home since quitting royal life in 2020.
It is believed this is because of the monarch’s busy schedule.
She said: “I actually think the real reason [they did not meet] is because the King knows any conversation he has with Harry, there’s a very high chance it will be leaked.
“I actually got on the phone and spoke with someone very close with the King, and they said that’s exactly it.
“The relationship actually between the King and his youngest son is at an all-time low at the moment because Harry isn’t going through the official channels when he wants to reach out to Charles.”
