Plymouth ‘bomb’ LIVE: Locals told ‘avoid the area’ | UK | News

Police raised a cordon in a central area of Plymouth on January 14, following report of a suspected bomb. Devon and Cornwall Police asked people to avoid the area as crews work to make the scene safe.

The force said in a statement: “We were called at 11.40am on Wednesday 14 January following a report of a suspected ordnance being found at a building site in Martin Street, Plymouth. A 100 metre cordon and associated road closures are currently in place. People are asked to avoid the area while attempts are made to identify the ordnance and make it safe. The incident is ongoing.” A large police presence was spotted in the area, PlymouthLive reports.
