Rishi Sunak is braced for a third Conservative defection to Labour ahead of Prime Minister’s Questions.

The rumour mill is in overdrive about whether another Tory will follow Natalie Elphicke and Dan Poulter in jumping ship to Sir Keir Starmer‘s party.

It comes after Ms Elphicke stunned Westminster with her switch to Labour just moments before PMQs kicked off last Wednesday.

But the Dover MP’s move has sparked disquiet from some within Labour with criticism of her views and allegations she lobbied a minister to interfere in her then-husband’s sex offences trial.
