POLL: Should Prince William forgive Prince Harry? | Royal | News

Prince William currently remains estranged from Prince Harry, with the future King not thought to have any plans to see him during his visit to the UK next month. The once-close brothers have reportedly not been on speaking terms for a number of years, with their ongoing feud escalating further after Harry’s exit from royal life and his verbal attacks about members of the family.

On a new episode of Daily Expresso, host JJ Anisiobi told columnist Carole Malone that William is not likely to lower his guard and attempt to reconcile with his younger brother. He said: “According to palace aides, William is known to hold a grudge, and he cannot forgive his brother for what Harry’s put the family through.”

Ms Malone then added: “Of course, he’s never going to forgive [Harry and Meghan], and I don’t blame them either.”

The remarks land amid a fresh Vanity Fair report stating that ties between William and Harry “remain at an all-time low”.

An insider told the publication: “Harry has tried to make contact repeatedly, but William won’t take his calls”.

Dan Wakeford, who runs the weekly Celebrity Intelligence newsletter, has recently told Fox News Digital not to expect “a full reconciliation with the family”.

Unlike William, King Charles is said to be keen to reconcile with Harry, especially with his uncoming visit to the UK with his wife and two children.

Royal author and historian Andrew Lownie has said that he believes that the King shows a desire for “genuine reconciliation” with his youngest son.

Mr Lownie added: “For many years now, these two royal dramas [Andrew and Harry] have been going on, and this one is now playing out.”

“No one wants to fall out with their children, and I think there’s a genuine personal desire here to see his grandchildren. But I also think the King believes that having an estranged royal is not good for the optics.”
