The trip, which has seen Catherine travel without her husband Prince William, has already seen the future Queen carry out engagements and visits regarding her passion and work for early years development in children. She was welcomed by the city’s mayor Marco Massari yesterday as she began the trip with her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
Catherine, 44, spent time meeting members of the public in these crowds, where she showed her impressive skills by communicating with the locals in their native language.
The princess also showed her skills in communicating with children as she met a number of youngsters.
While Catherine is usually accompanied by her husband on royal trips abroad, this has not been the case this year as William instead has stayed at the family’s Forest Lodge home with the couple’s three children.
