When they attended the sporting event, they were also joined by their three children, Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, seven. However, as photographs started to emerge of them, people couldn’t help but be drawn to one thing, and people thought it said a lot about the Royal couple.
However, following their appearance at the Games, eagle-eyed viewers on X were quick to point out one thing. Many seem to think William simply couldn’t keep away from his wife as the day progressed, as they were drawn to a subtle move they think he made.
One social media user wrote: “How it started v. how it ended. Oh William.”
In the photographs shared online, you then see one image of the couple sitting with the children in between them, and reaching over to talk. Then, another image is shared which shows them sitting directly next to each other, as the children sit beside them.
People thought it was adorable that he seemed to long to be closer to his wife throughout the day. In fact, many thought it exposed a lot about just how much he loves to be around her.
One said: “Smart man.” Another added: “Perfect. Dad and daughter.”
A third replied: “They can’t live without each other.” Elsewhere on social media, someone wrote: “What a man.”
One more also noted: “Aawwhh!! Prince William wanted to sit next to Princess Catherine!! So sweet. The bond they have with each other and their children is amazing! I love it!”
It seems like the family had a great day out too. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared their delight about attending on Instagram on Saturday.
In a post, they said: “Incredible atmosphere at the Commonwealth Games today. Watching world-class talent compete and seeing the power of sport to bring people together is truly special.
“Thank you to everyone involved for such a wonderful day.” This was followed by another post, which read: “Congratulations to every athlete taking part in this year’s Commonwealth Games!
“A special well done to Team Wales for proudly representing the nation on the international stage. It was a pleasure to join the athletes today at Wales House. Llongyfarchiadau, Team Wales!”
It’s fair to say the Royals delighted crowds with their attendance. Many gushed over images that have since emerged.
